Hello, Sunshine

Hello Sunshine by Shawn

My post today comes from a card I made while stretching my stamps with Online Card Classes. If you didn’t know Stretch Your Stamps 2 has begun and it’s a great way to get ideas on how to use the stamps you already have in new ways.
Day 1 & 2 focuses on background stamps. Here I used the Highline Ironwork Background stamp from Hero Arts featured in the class to create a watercolor background like Kristina Werner’s. This technique utilizes the emboss-resist technique to allow watercolor to pool between all the stamp details. I cut along the edge of the  shapes to create the background piece.

The Big Hello die cut from Simon Says Stamp was stacked from several cuts, covered with Wink of Stella glitter pen then coated in Glossy Accents to create a glimmery and puffy embellishment.

  1. This card is so sunny and bright. You did a great job of using the background stamp to create a festive watercolor background. I also like how some of your embellishments are tucked under some elements. Anyone would really enjoy receiving this card. Thanks for sharing.
